Hi all,
The DSP status window on my Kyma 7+ is returning a message of “No real time” and the CPU reading is 100% (constantly, even if not computing any audio)
I am running a Pacarana connected via ethernet to a Mac Pro (intel, Big sur 11.7)
The paca is connected to a MOTU ultralight MK3 via firewire, with its latest firmware (v1.07)
Any suggestions are highly appreciated
Thanks!
João
24 February 2023 at 13:59 #2485Please turn off your Pacarana and your Ultralite, then disconnect the FireWire cable connecting the Pacamara to the Ultralite.
Then, power up the Pacarana and start Kyma. Do you still see the message in DSP Status?
Thanks!
28 February 2023 at 01:32 #2486Hi,
There’s no message in the DSP status when the Ultralite isn’t connected.
For reference, I was able replicate the same problem with another identical Ultralite with the same specs.
best,
JM
6 March 2023 at 16:53 #2488Some things to try:
* Confirm that it is not using bus power (should be powered via the external power supply)
* Confirm that it is in FireWire and not USB mode (there are some notes on the UltraLite hybrid on this page https://kyma.symbolicsound.com/configuring-audio-and-midi-interfaces/motu-hybrid-and-mk3-interfaces/)
* Try a factory reset
* Try the other FireWire port on the Pacarana
* Confirm that the Ultralite is connected ONLY to the Pacarana (there should be no connection via FireWire to the host computer).
Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
(you can also send email directly to Symbolic Sound for support)
8 March 2023 at 01:05 #2489Hi,
Thanks for the tips; here are my comments:
– Both the Paca and the Motu are powered via their power supplies.
– Motu is in firewire mode
– I did perform a factory reset on the Motu. Should I do this on the paca as well? If so, please tell me how.
– I did try the other firewire port on the Paca.
– The Motu is connected only to the Pacarana.
The problem remains.
(I’ve attached a screenshot for reference.)
best,
João

UltraLite MK3.
Already tried the points you did mention, and the problem remains.
What could be the solution ?
