Can the sound browser read from mounted network drives?

When I recently installed Kyma 7 on Windows 10, I noticed my two network (CIFS) drives showed up in the sound browser, which was a welcome change to my experience with X.9. However they have not shown at all since the my first time running it- and I can't figoure out how to get them back. I can't even see them in any 'browse' dialog in Kyma7. Does anyone have any experience browsing network drives in the sound browser?

It seems I answered my own question. It turns out not to be a Kyma issue at all, but a Windows 7/8/10 issue. If anyone else keeps their sound library on a network drive, here's the solution:
