Many belated thanks! I finally downloaded the software to edit the Alesis V49 keyboard, and told it to output on channel 1; then I reset my Kyma default midi channel to 1. Everything works!
Thank you! I checked the MIDI log and my keyboard is sending on channel 2. When I switched Kyma’s default to channel 2, everything worked.
On the Mac I used Audio Midi Setup to have the keyboard transmit on 16 midi channels, set Kyma’s default channel back to 1, but that seemed to break both the iPad and the keyboard, so for now I’m just leaving the default channel on 2 (setting the iPad to channel 2 as well). Thanks again!
Very exciting to see this beta version, thanks and congratulations! My iPad works like a charm. I also have an Alesis V49 keyboard controller that causes the little ’m’ to flash in the DSP Status window, but there is no audio signal when I play the keyboard.
For what it’s worth, the same thing happened when I plugged it into the back of the Pacarana; the ’m’ flashed but the mixer showed no audio signal. So this could be an issue with my keyboard, possibly.
