The University of Oregon School of Music and Dance offers an array of music technology courses.  At the center of many of these classes is Kyma.  Nine workstations featuring Pacas or Pacaranas are used to teach classes about sound synthesis, electroacoustic composition, and real-time performance.  These Kyma-centric work environments are ideal to teach all the classic techniques of electronic music synthesis such as additive, subtractive, and FM synthesis as well as a number of other sound-generating methodologies that only Kyma can execute.  Along with its power to provide the user with exquisite musical nuance, Kyma's ability to visualize data flowing through its artistic veins offers essential vividication of the educational objectives we are seeking.  The University of Oregon offers music technology related degrees at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels.
