What is the best way to playback long audio files in multigrid in sync

I'm performing long audio files bpm sync'ed in multigrid. When I set the files to play from disk the computer gets slow. I have one gb ram on my paca and it's not enough to play the files from ram. Is there a way where I can have a multigrid with many audio files to choose from that are playing from disk only when I select them and keep in sync with each other?
Thank you

If you use a MultiFileDiskPlayer, you could change the !Index in the VCS to Radio Buttons. In the trigger or gate, you could copy what the Algorithmic track control uses for aligning with groups of 8 beats.
