Using Appleās Lightning to USB 3 camera adapter, connect the iPad to a lightning cable and charger. Then use an Apple USB Ethernet Adapter to plug into the Ethernet port on the back of the Pacarana.

A few more details... The iPad must be running at least version iOS 10.2. There are also inexpensive Lightening-to-Ethernet adaptors that work, which eliminates the need for the USB camera adaptor. However, none of those offer the extra charger connection so the iPad will be running off its battery.
This method can be used to provide a wired network connection to any iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, provided it is running iOS 10.2+. You can even use this method to create a network MIDI ("rtpMIDI") connection to Macs, PCs, and other devices that support that standard.
