How do you remove/edit imported custom prototypes in the prototypes window?

Pretty much like the title says here. If I've imported some custom prototypes into my prototypes folder, and I realize later that I don't want those in my prototypes folder, is there a way to edit what's in there?

Hi Aaron, have you tried opening the custom prototypes as a Sound file window?  If you open it as a Sound file, you can delete/add Sounds and create new SoundCollections (which will appear as categories when you save it and re-open it as a Custom Prototypes).

Where is the prototypes folder located in osx? I'll admit I sometimes make things harder than they need to be, but I can't seem to find it in the Kyma folder in Documents. thanks!
hmm, I seem to have never noticed that when you close and reopen the prototypes window, it's initialized to "system prototypes", with only the vanilla prototypes accessible. Is that what you meant?

Hi Aaron, no you're right, there is no prototypes folder; the Prototypes are created for you each time you open the Prototypes window from the File menu (which happens automatically at startup).
Regarding your custom prototypes, how did you get them to show up? Usually, the way to get custom prototypes is to open a Sound file as a custom prototype strip (rather than the default rectangular style Sound file window). When you open a Sound file as Custom Prototypes, it opens a default Prototypes window with your custom Sounds included as well.
that's exactly how I got them to show up actually! I'd purchased the neverengine complexity lab and they'd included a text file explaining how to open custom prototypes. I guess I'd never decided to close and open a new prototype window since then. I've been trying to go through and learn the basics behind all the prototypes, and wanted to eliminate any extras beyond the system prototypes in the name of maintaining focus.
