Has anyone tested the MiniDSP USB Streamer with their Paca(rana)?

If this works, its a very neat solution for Kyma in larger studio setups with DA convertors already in place.

The Paca(rana) can use USB audio converters that are 44.1 or 48 kHz, 2 channels and class-compliant. The MiniDSP is 8 channel so it will not work.

Judging from the various forum threads going back 10+ years that I've found, a firewire to ADAT interface in a small form factor without any additional bells and whistles has been on many people's wish-lists.There hasn't been much, if anything to fit that bill and usually the trade-off is size.
Maybe this community could make them? I'm half-serious considering what's available these days to the electronics DIY-er! Then there's the issue of software...
thats the spirit!
I totally agree! Isn't there a ready-to-go chipset for firewire to adat? I'm not really into this but it doesn't sound too complicated...
I'm sure I got 4 channels in and out from a m-audio fast-track pro when I was using one as my Motu Interface was broken? I'm tempted to try the miniDSP USBstreamer anyway. I'm currently using Tc Electronics Impakt Twin which was the cheapest FW interface with ADAT I/O. Impakt Twin is alright, but I don't like the fact that it's got a thick rubber leg that makes it hard to fit in a bag or a rack.
