Anyone tried the Mackie Blackjack?

My Motu Ultralite mk3 just bit the dust and I was looking at compatible interfaces.  My needs are very basic and the Mackie Blackjack looks potentially perfect for me.  I've read some reviews but wanted to know if anyone in this community had tried it.  Thanks for any opinions!

I have! The sound is quite a step down from the Ultralite but they are small and cheap. They always worked fine as a class compliant interface on a mac but I know some windows users have struggled. Sorry to hear you ultralite is broken. Is there no one that can fix it? In the UK we used http://musictrack.co.uk/ might not be difference in price.

I have tried Kyma with the Mackie (Onyx) Blackjack and use the two together quite often. I have never had any problems with it either within Kyma or Windows, or Linux for that matter. It's a very stable, albeit simple and basic, interface. It works well. If you're after something basic, the Roland (Edirol) UA-25EX also works with Kyma, though SS are yet to implement MIDI on it. Both of these are relatively cheap and accessible.
