I see the Secondary VCS method described in the answer to: "Multigrid vcs laptop and ipad", but am just checking if there is an alternative method.

Hi John, is this for the case of the All-seeing-eye layout of the Multigrid? You want to hide just one track's controls or all of the Multigrid controls?
Hi - just aiming to hide one of the tracks in the KymaControl Grid view.  I suppose this is really a feature request: on the host Multigrid display, click on a gear and select "Hide Track in KymaControl".
Why do you want to hide that track? (Depending on the reasons for hiding it, maybe there's an alternative solution)
Excellent question!  It's for an experimental scenario where person1 sees the complete Multigrid display on the host and person2 can see and control only a subset of the Multigrid tracks via KymaControl.

Hi John, you could try this:

  1. Play the Multigrid
  2. Select the Grid layout (click icon with the matrix of green squares at the top right of the Multigrid)
  3. Edit the Grid layout by unlocking the VCS
  4. Delete the buttons and potentiometers associated with the track you want to hide

At this point, you could use the regular Multigrid window on the computer to see all the tracks, and the VCS tab of Kyma Control will show the Grid layout with one track's controls missing.
