How can I un-learn the midi mapping to a VCS control?

Here's the scenario:

I clicked on "learn" on a VCS control then twiddle a knob  on my midi controller and it's mapped. Yay!

But then oops, I realise it's better if I don't map a midi control to that particular VCS. I want to map the knob to another VCS control instead.

I can press "learn" on the other VCS and twiddle the knob again... but now the knob controls both VCS controls at the same time.

Without mapping my orginal VCS control to another midi knob how do I unlearn the mapping so it's not mapped to any midi control?

Hello, What I do when I want to unlearn midi mapping is: Right (or control)click and then select "vcs" on the little assign menu. Then it is unlearned.

Oh! Is that what the "vcs" option does? Brilliant thanks!
