Should you divide the outputs of a mixer by its number of inputs?

The Mixer sound adds its input Sounds together. Does that mean that by default you should set the Left and Right parameters of the Mixer to divide by the number of Sounds going in to the mixer? For instance if you had 4 Sounds in the Input field of the Mixer you'd set Left and Right to be 0.25?

Setting the level to 1/numberOfOutputs is safe but typically overkill (as it is unlikely that all four inputs would hit their peak at the same time). To be safe, though you could divide by the number of outputs and put a Gain with an adjustable amplitude after that so you could boost the overall mix.
