Is anyone else having unusual issues with the latest update of Kyma asoftware and driver (installed yesterday at the "request" of the start-up routine)?

I'm trying to decide whether to reinstall it or go back to a previous version. The last straw was such a hard crash that in order to shut down and restart I had to disconnect the power supply from the UPS and hold down the power button on my Mac until it successfully executed a hard shutdown. Yesterday the I had a rare black screen of death on my Mac when I tried to edit automation data in a timeline.

Looking for suggestions as to which version of Kyma and driver to run. If no one is having any issues with the current version, perhaps I should just reinstall it..?

Thanks.

update: At this point, I think my pacarana is down for the count. No Firewire connection is possible. :-(
I got things working on my laptop by sticking with the older version (from Aug 31) that I used for a performance in the fall and "downgrading" the driver software to match. But I still can't make a firewire connection to my main computer with the more recent Kyma software, using the same cables. Meanwhile ... I can use the firewire port I'm trying to use for for the Pacarana for a different firewire device. I am completely stumped now.

Hi Mark,

We're using the most recent version here without problems and haven't had any other reports from the field. Please contact us by email, so we can try to help you figure out what's going on. Lots of people are using the latest version successfully so something else is going on.

Thanks!

I reinstalled the software and again updated the driver. At least I can now launch Kyma and my Pacarana is connecting to my Mac. Too soon to tell for sure if I'm out of the woods, but I'm better off than I was earlier today.
So far, so good. Things still seem to be running smoothly after the reinstall.
