If a global is set to not show in VCS, does it still send its OSC data?

For example I want to pause my DAW with !osc_kyma_pause sent algorithmically from an expression in a SoundToGlobalController, but the message doesnt seem to get through. Is it because I have selected to not show the OSC value in the VCS?

If so, would it be possible to send and receive OSC data without those data streams having to appear as widgets in the VCS?

Have you sent the !osc_kyma_pause message to Kyma once at the beginning of each session?  Kyma can only replay to a message that it has previously received from an OSC source.

Could you have your DAW send all the OSC messages to Kyma once at the beginning of the timeline?
