I'm running the latest version of Kyma (7.23f4) and if i select File -> Open, in MacOS El Capitan—at the bottom of the open dialogue, where it says "any openable file", I can select custom prototypes as an option. Do you not get that option from the file dialogue?

Thanks!  That works on Mojave too with the latest Kyma version. Still I can't  find the File -> New -> Custom Prototype, to add my own ones.
Hi Robert, you can open any Sound file (.kym) as a Custom Prototype strip. Any Sound Collections within that Sound file will turn into categories in the custom Prototypes strip.
That's  easy :) Thanks!!!
