In the ParameterTransformer what does "snd doNotExpandFirst" mean?

Page 300 for Kyma X Revealed talks about a (now obsolete) setting in the class editor that controlled whether expanding a Sound class occurs before or after applying the ParameterTransformer transformations. The doNotExpandFirst overrides this setting and lets you transform the parameters of the Sound before it is expanded.

Thanks! When you say it's now obsolete, does that mean it's not necessary or useful to use doNotExpandFirst any more or should I always put it in for safety?
