How to perform embedded VCS from keyboard ?

Is there a way I can perform my presets on a embedded VCS from my computer keyboard - like I can with the top left preset changer and the arrow keys.

One way is to "enter" the embedded VCS (by clicking the right arrow at the upper left corner of the embedded VCS).  Once inside the embedded VCS, the up/down arrow keys will move forward and backward through the preset list.
