Its perhaps the command I used most often when designing sounds but I can't seem to be able to do it as efficiently as I'd like to.... i.e. with one key press!

No, but it might be worth remembering that there are several changes you can make to the VCS without unlocking.  For example, if you ctrl+click (right-click) on a widget, you can change that widget's:

  • Controller mapping (map it to MIDI, OSC, the Pen, Wiimote (accelerometer))
  • Learn (put it in learn mode and map it to the next controller you move)
  • Widget type
  • Range
  • Whether it should have the same value in all presets
  • Whether it should ignore preset changes

The right click on widgets is very welcome. But for re-arranging and re-sizing, theres still a lot of unlocking and locking. If its not too difficult, a keyboard shortcut would be very welcome too...
I would love a shortcut for unlocking and locking of the VCS and bring the VCS Editor in front/Back.
I also would love to do multiple selections and then apply the right click widget changes.... for example to set "ignore preset changes/ roll the dice" for 32 Faders can be a bit time consuming.
Such a shortcut would be very welcome :)
I agree, a keyboard shortcut for locking/unlocking the VCS would be excellent. I spend so much time editing VCS's. Any keyboard shortcuts for VCS editing would be most welcome!

After unlocking/locking, my most used commands (starting with most used first) are:

* Squeeze Horizontal
* Squeeze Vertical
* Align Horizontal (Top)
* Align Vertical (Left)
* Set tick marks & labels
I have to add my support for such a feature, although I fear if it was easily implementable it might already exist?

In other news: I have a keyboard shortcut to 'Record to disk..' I set this in the OSX system preferences under Keyboard >Shortcuts.
