KymaConnect 1.X is not compatible with macOS 10.15, and is not compatible with newer versions of macOS such as macOS 11.0 (Big Sur). It is designed to work on systems running OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) through macOS 10.14.6 (Mojave). KymaConnect 1.X will not be updated further.
The KymaConnect 2.0 BETA is now available for all KymaConnect 1.0 licensees. This is a major update to KymaConnect. It is 64-bit and supports macOS 10.15 (Catalina). KymaConnect 2.0 BETA is also being tested with the macOS 11.0 (Big Sur) beta.
But there is much more: enhanced MIDI facilitings, including four additional External MIDI "Slots", a new dedicated virtual MIDI port for use with Haken Audio's "Haken Editor". The MIDI routing is extend so that you can route and filter MIDI directly between external MIDI devices. There are also some new MIDI filtering options. KymaConnect 2.0 is "Paca(rana)-only". KymaConnect 2.0 does not have any dedicated Capybara functions or capabilities.
KymaConnect 2.0 is designed for the most recent versions of macOS so it requires macOS 10.14 (Mojave), macOS 10.15 (Catalina), or macOS 11.0 (Big Sur). It is built to work Kyma 7+, including the Kyma 7+'s new Ethernet connection method. Kyma 7+ and KymaConnect 2 can share the same Ethernet connection, and that is the recommended configuration.
KymaConnect 2 does support Kyma 7 but only on macOS 10.14 (Mojave). However, we recommend that all KymaConnect 2 users upgrade to Kyma 7+.
