What is the behavior of a stereo waveshaper file on a stereo source

Hi.

I was wondering and just wanted to be certain. If I have a 2 channel file loaded into the Waveshaper, and I multiply its output with another two channel signal, such as a stereo sample file, is each channel treated independently? To clarify, if the left channel of the sample gets multiplied by the left value from the waveshaper and the right by the right.

Yes, each channel is treated independently: the left channel of the Waveshaper will be multiplied by the left channel of the Sample and the right channel of the Waveshaper will be multiplied by the right channel of the Sample.

ok, thanks for clarifying that. And so , in the case of a 7.1 Waveshaper , the input needs to be 8 channel for that to work?
