Ambisonic to Soundbar

I would like to use a soundbar in different setups as ambisonic representation for sound.

Thinking of soundbars like:

https://petertyson.co.uk/yamaha-ysp-2700-ysp2700

I see a LAN input as well on the soundbar for internet streaming.

Can I use the Pacarana LAN Port A for this?

Or can I link FireWire to LAN?

How to do this for multichannel audio? Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge, sound bars are unable to decode ambisonic audio. There are several ways to decode ambisonic files to stereo, 5.1, and atmos, which, depending on the soundbar, can then be used.

Here is a technique to decode to Atmos using Pro Tools and the Harpex plugin:

Soundfield (now Rode) used to have a free plugin that decoded ambisonic. Not sure if it's still available.

Hi Jeff, thanks for your reaction.
I had hoped to use the Kyma ambiophonic workshop for this:

Also: https://kyma.symbolicsound.com/library/first-order-ambisonic-encoderdecoder-2-5a/

Here is a free plug-in Suite from the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics:

Hi Jeff and Roland,
Not sure if it helps but here are both the older Soundfield SurroundZone2 and the newer Soundfield-by-Rode plugins to decode ambisonics, both are free downloads.

Hi koenraad,

Thank you.
