Kyma is not accepting my login password when I try to update; what should I do?

Several people reported that on 1 October 2021 they lost access to the Kyma Community Q&A and Forum and were no longer able to update Kyma 7+. This is a consequence of a world-wide issue involving SSL certificate renewals no longer being kept up to date on older operating systems. (Some of you may also have seen this issue manifested as a warning that a website you were about to visit was "unsafe", even if it was one that you've visited many times before).

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

  1. Use your ORIGINAL LINK to download and install the new Kyma application
  2. Start Kyma and use the Help menu to Check for Software Updates.
  3. Have Kyma make the software update
  4. That's it! :)

If you are using Windows or if your Mac OS is 10.15 or newer, you should be set.

If you use a Mac OS that is older than 10.15, you may need to do a fresh install (contact us if you need instructions on how to do that).

Thanks!

If you are running Mac OS 11 (Big Sur), make sure to get the newest update 11.6 (or later) before updating Kyma. We ran into an incompatibility with dragging in the new Kyma on an outdated  version of Big Sur. Thanks!
When starting Kyma and using the help menu for "Check for Software Updates" a login window appears. When I try to log in Kyma rejects my login name and pasword as not valid. This all happening on Mojave 10.14.6, Kyma version 7.39f2 from 9 september 2021. Is there a new Kyma update after this one?

I just requested a link for the software downlad. This will probably solve the problem. :)
