Bidirectional MIDI for VCS

Question

Is there an easy way to setup bidirectional midi for my VCS controls. So that when I map them to a CC with 'learn' it also sends the values out as the same CC's when I change them on screen or when I change preset, so that I can keep my controller with relative knobs in sync with my controls on screen?

Edit > Preferences and click Performance

Under External MIDI controller, select Echo MIDI
