How to import movie (.mov) into Timeline?

Question

I am creating a soundtrack for an Indie film (duration ca. 90 minutes). My part will be processing harpsichord sounds - that will be fun. How do I get the film (.mov format at present) into the TimeLine so that I can synchoronize my Sounds? I'm sure others have done this; this is my first time, so excuse my naivete. Thanks.

In the Timeline, at the bottom of the Automation drop-down menu where it says "Movie player OFF", select "Turn Movie ON". Kyma will prompt you to select your .mov file.

Follow-up question: I have done the above steps, but....
  Is the film supposed to appear within a Sound within the TimeLine? I don't see it anywhere. Also, it does not play when I start the TimeLine (which currently only has an Annotation Sound containing the title as text). How do I get the film to play from the TimeLine?  Thanks. - BB

So very odd.....  I tried the movie plan with a new, fresh TimeLine, and the movie now runs. So far, so good (not sure why it was not working in original TimeLine).
  Almost set to get to work. When the movie plays in sync with the TimeLine, the audio (dialogue) on the film plays through my computer speakers, but not through Kyma. I have "Audio Track 1" selected under Automation. How do I get the film audio into Kyma so that I can control overall combined amplitudes? Thanks. --  BB

If you open the movie in QuickTime, you can Save As audio-only. Then you could paste the resulting AIF file into the Timeline to hear the video soundtrack inside Kyma.
