Kyma hanging when trying to open - now running Tahoe and 7.50.2

Moved to Tahoe (26.5.1) and installed Kyma 18 Sept 25 v.7.50.2  and having big problem opening  Kyma.   Tried Caps Lock, reinstalling Kyma, turning off and disconnecting USB C power cable of Pacamara, and restart Mac, all to no avail.  Yesterday managed to run Kyma ok after multiple attempts to open it (using Forsce Quit to exit). But once running no issues.  Today tried and cannot get it to run. It just hangs.  Not sure why but does not respond to caps lock today.   Suggestions, please.

Try installing the most recent Kyma release by using your original download link to get the current installer. There was an issue between later releases of Tahoe and past Kyma versions that cause problems similar to what you have experienced. This has been discussed a few times on the Discord, which is where most of us users hang out now for this sort of information.

When updating to Kyma 7.50.2 after upgrading to Tahoe, I got a similar hang. After rebooting my computer, I could get past the spinning rainbow wheel if there was a good Ethernet cable.  If you used Force Quit from Mac, this won’t help in reopening the software. A fresh restart worked.

That said, I found my Pacamara not being recognized with the error message “Please turn on or connect your Kyma audio processing unit”.

I found a fix for my situation related to this error, and while I posted on Discord, its seems related to issue, so I am sharing here.

Under Mac System Settings > Network, the Ethernet cable can be configured to “Limit IP Tracking”.  This was on by default for me (maybe from Tahoe?). As soon as I turned this setting off, the Pacamara was recognized and Kyma turned on seamlessly.
