Move a shared widget to its own box in a VCS?

I think I've done this before, but don't recall how. I have !Value that appears in more than one Multisample Sound making up a larger Sound.  In my VCS, I'd like to move a toggle button for !Value out of each of the individual embedded VCS's and have it appear only once in it's own box. For example, I want to remove the Restart buttons below and replace them with a single button in a box at the top that spans the four columns.

Hi Kevin,

If you use the gear menu of each track, you could Set shared controls and add !Restart to the list of controls shared by that track.  Then !Restart would show up in the Shared layout of the Multigrid and in the All-seeing-eye overview layout.

Another approach is to edit the VCS, select and delete the !Restart buttons.  That should force the !Restart button to display in the enclosing layout (outside the embedded layouts) as you describe.
