What's the power consumption of a paca?

The power supply is rated at 12.5 amps (150 Watts?) but can you get away with less?

I'm obsessing about powering it by batteries (again), in preparation to taking it outside (and tying it to a string and swinging it round my head) (joke (the swinging round my head bit (not the outside bit) (although maybe there's an idea there...)))

It is possible to find 12 Volt 150Watt DC-DC converters but they get a bit big and expensive.

The currently shipping power adapter supplies 85 watts of power and is about 92% efficient, so you could get by with around 93 watts of mains power.

Does the paca have any onboard power regulation?
